There are a few important points to keep in mind when it comes to learning how to clean an appliance like the Ninja Foodi.

STEP ONE: Make sure that your Ninja Foodi is turned off and unplugged. You don’t want to run the risk of electrocuting yourself!

STEP TWO: Remove the trays, pans, drip racks, and any other accessories. You basically want to take out anything that is removable.

STEP THREE: Fill your sink with warm water and dish soap. Place all of the removable pieces in the soapy water and scrub. Dish soap works wonders when it comes to grease. Be sure not to use anything too abrasive! A microfiber cloth or soft sponge both work well.

STEP FOUR: If there is caked-on food or grease inside the Foodi, gently remove it. You can use a toothpick if it’s really stuck! Then, use a damp microfiber cloth to rub away any stains. Don’t spray any cleaning products directly into the Foodi and don’t use an abrasive sponge — you don’t want to damage your Foodi as you clean.

STEP FIVE: Unscrew the lid to remove it to clean. You should be able to do so pretty easily with a screwdriver. Clean it with a soft cloth and warm soapy water. Reattach the lid when you’re done.

STEP SIX: Wipe down the outside of the Ninja Foodi with a damp cloth. Place all of the removable parts back where you found them, and enjoy your sparkling clean results!

Don’t be afraid to get creative when you clean your Ninja Foodi! A clean toothbrush will allow you to get into all the nooks and crannies.

It also works well to remove baked-on grease! Apply a bit of warm water and dish soap to the toothbrush before using it.

Don’t underestimate the power of warm water and baking soda! It will create a paste that will dissolve any baked-on grease quickly, and best of all, it’s non-abrasive.

You may also consider using vinegar instead of water. I personally have a hard time with the smell, but some people swear by this technique!

As a general rule, you can clean every part of your Ninja Foodi air fryer with warm water and dish soap. The toothbrush method that I mentioned above will work very well for the mesh grease shield. I encourage you to try it!
